EB Watch List Update Report
Dear Members:
MARKET NOTE:
Santa Claus apparently arrived starting yesterday and continuing into today. The move higher has put all of the major indexes in better technical shape with the NASDAQ now above all key technical levels. And the small cap Russell 2000 is challenging its 20 day moving average for the first time in two weeks. What else is positive today? Oil! Yes, a much greater draw down in inventories has WTI crude up over 4%, nice relief for the market. The S&P is now only 6 points from recapturing both its 50 and 200 day moving averages. So a close above 2063 would have to be considered very bullish. And if traders decide to pocket some profits later we'll want to see if the S&P can hold 2050 which would also be bullish. In the meantime, this is the last full day of trading for the week with tomorrow being half a day. So volume is likely to thin out. Nonetheless we are certainly seeing the market perking up, just in time.
