EB Watch List Update Report
Dear Members:
First, please note that Tom Bowley will be posting his January historical performance article on his blog that will be available exclusively to EarningsBeats.com members prior to the start of the new year. Must reading!
MARKET NOTE:
The year continues to wind down and today shows some profit taking, so far keeping the major indexes from adding on to yesterday's gains. Not helping today? Oil, which showed a large inventory build, just what the market was hoping would not happen. It's not like the market is cratering here, but it certainly has stalled, not what the bulls were hoping for after yesterday's positive action. So now the question becomes, do traders simply bail out and revisit stocks next year, or do we get one final burst into tomorrow's close? One plus so far; all of the major indexes remain above all key technical levels. But that could change quickly if traders decide to go the bail out route. The S&P will need to hold 2166 on any further selling and it certainly would be bullish if it managed to clear yesterday's high of 2081.
