EB Quick Update

Dear Members, The overall market is doing well today and most of our Watch List stocks are higher. I am concerned, however, about Thoratec (THOR), which this morning announced that a recent study revealed that their heart pump product was seeing a larger number of blood clots in patients within 3 months after they received THOR's heart pump. This heart pump accounts for 90% of THOR's revenues, so it's clearly a big deal. The stocks on our Watch List are comprised of those that I believe have the best fundamentals and best technicals. With today's announcement and subsequent move lower on heavy volume, both of these are in question. Therefore, we are immediately removing THOR from our Mid Cap Watch List - taking a loss in the process. I hope you enjoy the balance of your holiday weekend.
