EB Watch List Update Report

Dear Members: MARKET NOTE The bulls held successfully right where they needed to the past two sessions with all of the major indexes higher. Tech stocks are leading the charge higher today with the NASDAQ up almost 1%. This is being helped by the move higher in Biotech stocks that have been lagging a long time. The selling that we have seen the past few sessions did let some nice steam out of the major indexes which have gotten technically overbought. The VIX is down by over 4% today as it remains below all key technical levels which favors the bulls. The S&P remains in the current range of 2042 to the downside and 2080 to the upside. This coming just before the Fed minutes from the last FOMC meeting today at 2:00 PM eastern. So the bulls continue to maintain the edge here with all of the major indexes above all key technical levels. And as long as the bulls are able to keep the S&P above 2035 they should be in good shape. KEY EARNINGS REPORTS Companies reporting earnings today (April 6) include: AYI, BBBY, STZ and MON Companies reporting earnings tomorrow (April 7) include: KMX, CAG and RAD ADDITIONS TO WATCH LISTS: Please note that we have now identified some new long and short trading candidates (earnings beats and misses) that will be added to the Candidate Tracker by tomorrow. We will let you know when you will have access to these new stocks. BRIEF COMMENTS ON SELECT WATCH LIST STOCKS: SHORTS: There are no shorts on the Watch List at this time LONGS: Large Cap Watch List AMAT - Stock is down slightly after the recent move higher. It had gotten a bit stretched so hopefully the selling the past few sessions will attract new buyers. It does need to close back above the recent high close of $21.42 to make further progress. GRMN - Stock is flat and a close above $40.22 would be bullish. TRIP - Stock has rebounded some after recent pullback. At a minimum we would like to see the stock close back above its 20 day moving average, now at $64.74. Mid Cap Watch List There are no Mid Cap stocks on the Watch List at this time. Small Cap Watch List There are no Small Cap stocks on the Watch List at this time.
