EB Watch List Update Report

Dear Members: MARKET NOTE So what's going on today? It's called consolidation after a big move up yesterday and one day ahead of monthly options expiration. This is quite apparent with all of the major indexes hugging their respective flat lines. The bulls made nice progress yesterday with the S&P closing a notch above important resistance. But it wasn't by much and we're not yet seeing any follow through today; one step at a time. For sure the stage is set for the bulls to take a run at 2100 but that might have to wait a day or two; or not. It's easy to forget that the S&P is up 15% since the February 11 low of 1810. Some see that as nothing more than getting back to where the S&P was at the end of last year, and that's true. Others will point out that the S&P is now within striking range of its all time high, and that is true as well. And its coming just before thousands of companies post their earnings. So naturally, some skepticism here with traders wanting to see results before they get too aggressive to the long side. But there's no denying that the bulls have the momentum here so any bit of good news could help put the S&P closer to that 2100 level. For sure I wouldn't be shorting here.
