EB Watch List Update Report

Dear Members: MARKET NOTE: The market confusion and fears continue into today with all of the major indexes lower. Let's start with the VIX which has skyrocketed the past few sessions and is now at levels not seen since February. So very suddenly traders have gotten quite worried. The headlines say its because of Brixit, the Fed meeting, oil falling. It's probably a combo of these and more. Whatever the reason the selling has been intense with the Dow and S&P back below their respective 20 and 50 day moving averages while the NASDAQ is fighting to hold its 200 day. SO technically not looking great. Part of what's going on could be due to the market sending a signal to the Fed before its meeting tomorrow. The market always likes to pout before the Fed meets with the hope that their announcement will include a dovish tone. So no doubt we're going to see continued volatility into and after the announcement which is scheduled for 2:00 pm eastern tomorrow. Getting back to the VIX, it is off the high of the day but remains well above all key technical levels. This is making it tough for traders to pull the trigger on the long side. But that could change if we see a reversal of today's selling which should not be ruled out. That would have to be seen as bullish and especially if the S&P can work its way back above 2088. That seems like a tall order right now but tomorrow's meeting could quickly change the tone. In the meantime we just sit pat.
