EB Watch List Update Report

John Hopkins -
Dear Members: MARKET NOTE: The market is on high anxiety alert this morning with all of the major indexes lower. At its low of the day today the Dow was down about 1000 points for the past two sessions. As a result the VIX got at high as 26.72 but is now actually lower. And the equity put call ratio climbed above 1.0, showing everyone is betting against the market. All of this leading me to believe the worst of the selling is over. It doesn't mean we can't get more selling here; the market has been technically wounded. But traders have now had a few days to ponder Brexit and some might be coming to the conclusion that the US isn't a bad place to park money. What we'll want to watch for is if we get higher lows on any selling and if some nice tails form on the major indexes. The S&P is likely to run into a buzz saw near 2020 which represents the 200 day moving average. If it is able to clear that level the bounce might have some more legs. So for now we'll use today's low of 1991 and the 200 day at 2020 on the S&P as the near term trading range. In the meantime with the swift correction in the market it could be time to take on a bit more risk instead of climbing the wall or worry.
