EB Watch List Update Report

John Hopkins -
Dear Members: MARKET NOTE: The Fed has spoken and...looks like any hike in rates will be put off for a while. Accordingly, the market has responded positively; traders like lower rates for longer. And, once again, the S&P held support right where it needed to. We've also got the VIX down 8%; a sigh of relief for traders so far today. To me this is all bullish action. And it could set the stage for the bulls to take another crack at that 2193 level where it has stalled twice. Let's remember that the NASDAQ has been as high as 5275 before stalling. So that is a level the bulls will be looking to clear. We're still in a bearish time of the year and historically it doesn't get any better in September. But traders remain in a buying mood feeling like the stock market is the only place to get any real yield. So at this moment it is difficult to fight the tape; the bulls keep showing they aren't backing down easily. So I think we could make another attempt at that 2193 level on the S&P; not necessarily today but sometime soon. And as long as the bulls continue to hold the line at the 20 day on the S&P, now at 2175, they should be in good shape.
