EB Watch List Update Report

MARKET NOTE: Dear Members: The market is taking a breather after hitting new record highs yesterday. A little pause is not a bad thing, especially for the NASDAQ that is technically overbought. Just like the Dow had trouble clearing 20,000, the S&P is having difficulty clearing 2300. It's one of those numbers where sell signals are in because its never been above that level in the past. The VIX is fairly flat; still no fear out there. Trader's are comfortable holding on to their long positions. Earnings season is in full swing now with Microsoft getting a nice boost while Google and Starbucks are under pressure after missing expectations. The earnings parade will be in force again next week with trader's especially interested in seeing how Apple does. After all, they are the largest market cap company in the world. The range on the S&P is clear right now; 2300 to the upside and 2272, the 20 day moving average, to the downside. We'll see by the close today if traders are willing to hold positions into the weekend. So far it seems like they just might. KEY EARNINGS REPORTS Companies reporting earnings today (January 26) include: CVX, CL, BEN, GD, GNTX, GDDY, HON, OPY, SIEMENS.NS and TCB Companies reporting earnings Monday (January 29) include: BAH, CR, GGP, IDTI and RMBS ADDITIONS TO WATCH LISTS: None at this time but will let you know if I spot any high reward to risk trading opportunities BRIEF COMMENTS ON SELECT WATCH LIST STOCKS: SHORTS: None at this time LONGS: Large Cap Watch List NVDA - Stock has put in its highest high since December 30. Our target is $111.90. Any strength into the close would be a positive. Mid Cap Watch List NUAN - Stock is having some difficult making the next push higher. $16.48 remains our target. Small Cap Watch List PIR - Stock is having its second rough day in a row. We will keep our stop in place of any close below $7.20. TRUE - Stock is up slightly and remains above all key technical levels and a close above $13.12 would be bullish.
