EB Watch List Update Report
MARKET NOTE:
Dear Members:
Here we are again with the S&P sitting right at 2400. Might this be the day the market makes the break? It could be; certainly traders are reluctant to let go of their long positions. The confidence seems to be there with the VIX back in the 10's and below all key technical levels. But it's still like pulling teeth! Actually both the Dow and S&P are outperforming the NASDAQ today. Not by much but showing some leadership for a change. Gold has cooled some and government bond yields have risen slightly. But traders are still holding on to defensive positions just in case the market fails to once again make the break. There's also a lot swirling around out there; enough to keep traders from getting overly aggressive. The good news for the bulls is the S&P is only 8 points from its all time high so within easy range. But...still need to see the break. To me it makes sense to be disciplined and remain cautious until something actually changes.
