EB Watch List Update Report

John Hopkins -
MARKET NOTE: Dear Members: The holiday weekend has come and gone and so far the market is holding up just fine. Interestingly the VIX is up by over 7%, still below all key technical levels but showing traders are at least wondering how much higher stocks might go. Fresh economic reports came out this morning which were "OK" but continuing to show the economy is in slow growth mode. Thus bond yields moving lower with less concern about the Fed raising rates then there has been recently. The NASDAQ matched its all time high today before pulling back just a bit. It's being helped with Amazon hitting $1,000 per share for the first time ever; traders love their tech stocks. We know the S&P touched 2418 last week so that is the new target for the bulls as a move above that level could take the market higher. To the downside the 20 day moving average on the S&P is now at 2393. So this is the trading range at the moment. It's a narrow range and perhaps the bulls will be happy if the market simply consolidates here; they just don't want to go backwards. KEY EARNINGS REPORTS Companies reporting earnings today (May 30) include: BNS Companies reporting earnings tomorrow (May 31) include: ADI, HPE, KORS, PANW and SMTC ADDITIONS TO WATCH LISTS: We added three long alerts to the Watch List last week. Will continue to look for new opportunities and will keep members posted. BRIEF COMMENTS ON SELECT WATCH LIST STOCKS: SHORTS: None at this time LONGS: Large Cap Watch List TWTR - Stock is up by 2.5% today. A close above $18.90 would be bullish. TER - Stock is up slightly and a close above $35.78 would be very bullish. Mid Cap Watch List None at this time Small Cap Watch List BLMN - Stock is down by almost 1.5%. Would like to see it hold its 50 day moving average, currently at 20.17, as a close below that level could take the stock lower.
