EB Watch List Update Report
MARKET NOTE:
Dear Members:
A bit early today as I will be tied up later in the day.
The Fed spoke yesterday with the market showing some weakness today. The VIX is up by 11%, showing traders are back to showing some nervousness. The NASDAQ has revisited the low from the other day while the S&P has moved below its 20 day moving average of 2420. That's an important level for the bulls to hold as right now they have the full technical advantage and that could change. In what has become the "new" market order blue chips are showing the most strength while tech stocks are more out of favor. In looking at a chart of the NASDAQ it could easily visit its 50 day moving average, currently at 6078. It is does get there that should provide decent support, especially if the NASDAQ is technically oversold by that time. And if the S&P remains below its 20 day it looks like it could move down to the 2400 level. With the increased volatility and the S&P barely holding on to near term support its best to lay low here and see what things look like later today and into tomorrow.
