EB Watch List Update Report

John Hopkins -
Dear Members: MARKET NOTE: Not much has changed since yesterday with the exception of the NASDAQ regaining some of the losses from last the week. Both the Dow and S&P continue to trade sideways. The S&P tested its 20 day moving average, currently at 2429, earlier in the session and so far has held. Maybe the bulls are content to just let the market hold here but so far traders are exercising a bit more caution as they assess the upside to downside risk. The VIX continues to show that traders are more relaxed this week compared to last week yet the lack of buying throughout the week tells a different story. Just like yesterday all of the major indexes remain above all key technical levels, so certainly nothing bearish. But if we're in the midst of sideways trading here it still makes the most sense to be much more selective. The very narrow trading range on the S&P is 2453 to the upside and 2429 to the downside, really not much to work with.
