There will be no weekend market recap video and our next Weekly Portfolio Report will be next weekend.  The Key Manipulation Spreadsheet should be updated and available on Monday.

Here's a quick market recap for today:

The Dow Jones is up nearly 2%, leading the action, and setting yet another all-time high.  It's now within 3% or so of the 53000 target established on the inverse head & shoulders breakout above 45000 in August 2025.  Small caps (IWM, +1.80%) is also setting a fresh new all-time high and showing relative strength on the session.  A slightly lower 10-year treasury yield ($TNX), down 2 basis points to 4.47% could be aiding the small cap area.

Crude oil ($WTIC, -3.10%) is down today in what's been quite a volatile week.  Despite the falling crude prices, energy (XLE, +0.09%) is one of nine sectors in positive territory as money rotates away from technology (XLK, -0.92%) to many value-oriented areas.  It's worth noting, however, that XLK is far off its earlier low.  Semiconductors ($DJUSSC, -1.95%) are weak, led lower by Broadcom, Inc. (AVGO, -11.90%), after the chipmaker posted its latest quarterly earnings results on Wednesday after the bell.

CrowdStrike Holdings (CRWD, -3.97%) reported its results after the bell on Wednesday and it initially resulted in lower prices for software ($DJUSSW, +0.24%), although this group has managed to rebound nicely off earlier lows and back into positive territory.  CRWD is currently trading significantly off its earlier low.

Health care (XLV, +2.99%) and financials (XLF, +2.64%) are showing relative strength today, as banks ($DJUSBK, +3.64%), in particular, are strong.

Happy trading!
